Stephen Hawking was a multi-talented, theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author, one of the most important minds known to mankind.

He spent most of his life confined to a wheelchair due to motor neurone disease that occurred when he was just 21 years old. Denying the doctors who wanted him to die at the age of 23, Stephen Hawking died at the age of 76. The disease made him work harder but contributed significantly to the breakdown of two marriages, as he wrote.

"His theories have 'unlocked' a universe full of possibilities that we and the world are exploring. "May you continue to fly like Superman in microgravity, as you told astronauts on the Space Station in 2014," NASA wrote shortly after it died.

He remained an active citizen until the end and, among other things, repeatedly warned about the dangers of artificial intelligence, but also of the possibility of a meeting with the aliens, which could have a bad outcome for humans. He was also an ardent supporter of the colonization of other planets as a way out of humanity's salvation in the event that the Earth is destroyed by a war, asteroid fall or other cause.
