A man "deliberately" drove a pedestrian car in the town of Blaniac, on the outskirts of Toulouse in southwestern France.

According to the Police, three students were injured.

These are Chinese students. A 23-year-old woman is seriously injured, a young man and another girl, aged 22 and 23, have minor injuries.

"At the moment, the incident is not being investigated as terrorist, although this scenario has not been ruled out," the Toulouse prosecutor said in a statement. The man was arrested a few hundred meters away.

As originally broadcast by the television network Europe 1, the incident happened at the exit of the high school-college St. Exupery. Shortly afterwards, it became known, from Europe 1, that the events took place outside the band "IGS Alternance", around 16.00 local time.

The 28-year-old driver was known to police but not for terrorism.

The perpetrator seems to be suffering from psychological problems, he was hospitalized until December 2016, according to the prosecutor.

According to the first data of the investigation, as broadcast by Europe1, he claimed that he "received orders" to commit this action.

The vehicle dragged pedestrians as they tried to cross the road. Then, Europe 1 broadcasts, he parked his vehicle and waited for the security forces, smoking a cigarette.

IGS houses five private schools with a total of 2.000 pupils and students.
