Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said 3.585 terrorists have been neutralized since the beginning of this year.
"Our borders are protected non-stop by our border troops on a 24/7 basis with the most intense and effective measures to date," he said.
“With the additional measures taken every day, 234.282 people have been prevented from crossing our borders since January 1st alone. 7.107 illegal immigrants and 724 terrorists surrendered to law enforcement. In the operations carried out during this period, 33.910 packs of cigarettes, 3.313 kilograms of drugs, 151.137 various drug pills, 2.480 various weapons, 341 mobile phones, 602 sheep and 944 cattle were seized," he pointed out.
Among other things, he said that more than 1 million Syrians have returned to their homes and lands voluntarily, "with safety and dignity, of which approximately 560.000 are in Idlib."
