Rescuers set up a whole operation to remove a woman from her car, which was dangling from the third floor of a garage in Florida.
According to American media, the woman accidentally stepped on the gas, causing her white Porsche to crash into the concrete partition and hang in the gap of the garage in Coral Gables, Florida.
A doctor's office worker across the street heard the noise of the impact. “I heard the wheels of a car squealing, as if they accidentally stepped on the gas or trying to pick up speed. Then I heard a loud bang and I thought it was two cars crashing," said Katiana Polanco.
Local Fire Department officials said the driver was saved because a tree caught the car and prevented it from falling.
Rescuers used ropes to get down to the car. They were able to tie up the driver and extricate her before she was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
"I'm sure she was terrified, although she seemed pretty calm on the outside considering how dramatic the incident was," said Coral Gables Fire Chief Xavier Jones.
The car was eventually removed with the help of a crane, while civil engineers examine whether the garage suffered structural damage.
