US government officials told Bloomberg news agency that preparations are being made to launch bombing raids on Iran in the coming days.
According to a report by the agency, the situation is still fluid and may change.
Some of Bloomberg's sources reported that plans are being made for bombings over the weekend.
Speaking to reporters outside the White House yesterday, US President Donald Trump left uncertainty lingering about whether the US would get involved in Israel's war against Iran that began on Friday, June 13. "Maybe I do. Maybe I don't. Nobody knows what I'm going to do," he said.
As the Wall Street Journal reported late Wednesday in its digital edition (citing three of its sources), Donald Trump told his associates that he has approved plans for US military attacks on Iran, but has not yet given the "final order" to proceed, because he is waiting to see if the country will capitulate and abandon its nuclear energy program - something Tehran explicitly rules out.
