Charalambidou: Infected by Annita's letter - "He could send personal letters"

The strong reaction of the AKEL MP, Irini Charalambidou, was provoked by the action of the President of the House, Annita Dimitriou, to send a letter to all the MPs, asking them to comply with the laws and to settle their outstanding debts for traffic.

In a post on Facebook, Ms. Charalambidou emphasizes that she feels offended by the letter she saw published in "F", pointing out that Annita Dimitriou could easily find out the names of the four MPs who owe money to the state for traffic violations and send them a personal letter instead of targeting all Members.

He also notes that three of the four MPs who have debts for traffic violations are not in action.

This is the post of Irini Charalambidou:

"Dear Annita, I and many other colleagues and I respect the laws and the citizens who voted for us. You could easily find out the names of the four Members and send them personal letters. Suppose that out of four, three are not active according to the same post you are referring to. Some of us were targeted in parliament because we insisted on persistently cauterizing such provocative behaviors. Personally, I am upset and offended by such a letter, as I believe it will bother other colleagues who are also fully aware of the obligations imposed on them and the position they serve, as well as their conscience. To a Member clearly and should not be required to be reminded of his obligations. It should be a model of behavior. Self-evident. I recognize the good intentions, but it should be targeted and not to see titles that reduce and insult the prestige of the parliament and us of the deputies who conscientiously serve the citizen and the public interest ".

It is recalled that Annita Dimitriou sent a letter to all MPs, emphasizing the need for them to comply with the laws that apply to all citizens. The letter was sent in the wake of publications referring to outstanding debts of members of Parliament for traffic violations.

Among other things, Ms. Dimitriou emphasizes that MPs should be a model of behavior and compliance with their legal obligations.
