A ship of Greek interests, flying the Liberian flag, was hit 15 nautical miles northwest of the coast of Oman.
According to the security company Diaplous, the captain of the "EPAMINONDAS" (IMO 9153862), flagged by Liberia and managed by Maersk, reported that a Revolutionary Guard gunboat approached the ship without prior radio communication and then opened fire.
The ship belongs to the Greek interests company Technomar of George Giouroucos.

The attack caused serious damage to the ship's bridge, while according to the same report, all crew members are safe.
The ship had sailed from the port of Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates, bound for Murda, India, at a time when maritime security in the wider region remains extremely fragile, amid heightened geopolitical tensions.

The UK Maritime Transport Office (UKMTO) said earlier that the captain of the container ship reported that an IRGC speedboat opened fire, causing "serious damage" to the bridge, without prior warning over the radio. Despite the severity of the attack, no fire or environmental pollution was reported, and all crew members are safe.
Iranian ships that passed under US radar with up to 4 million barrels of oil
At least two fully loaded Iranian tankers managed to break through a US naval blockade and leave the Persian Gulf this week, part of a larger fleet that has pumped about 9 million barrels of oil onto the international market. The Iranian-flagged VLCCs “Hero II” and “Hedy” were detected by satellite data moving towards the Arabian Sea on April 20, having crossed the US blockade line. According to data analysis firm Vortexa, the two ships can carry up to 4 million barrels of oil in total.
The tankers’ successful exit demonstrates the limits of US efforts to curb Iran’s crude exports, which Donald Trump has called a “tremendous success.” Since the blockade began, the US Navy has seized a ship carrying Iranian-linked cargo and inspected a tanker under sanctions, expanding its operations as far east as Sri Lanka.
Vortexa data shows that at least 34 Iranian-linked ships – tankers and liquefied gas carriers – have managed to pass through the exclusion zone. Of these, 19 were heading out of the Persian Gulf, with 17 carrying cargo.
The key to their escape appears to be the tactic of disabling their tracking systems (transponders), which makes it difficult to track them. Although the final destination of these cargoes remains unclear, the majority of Iranian exports are headed to China, while recent cargoes had also reached India before a relevant US exemption expired. At the same time, other ships are also testing the limits of the blockade. Among them, a small LPG tanker under sanctions crossed the Strait, while other ships are moving close to the Iranian coast, seeking to avoid detection.
Meanwhile, about 800 ships remain stranded in the Persian Gulf, with the International Maritime Organization working on a plan to remove them, provided the crisis de-escalates. Although President Trump announced a conditional extension of the ceasefire with Iran, he made it clear that the naval blockade will remain in place, maintaining pressure on one of the world's most critical energy arteries.
