A freight train collided early Wednesday morning with a passenger train that had stopped near a station in western Singapore, injuring 23 passengers and requiring them to be taken to hospitals, the online edition of the Straits Times reported.
The train accident occurred at 08:00 local time (02:00), the newspaper reported.
SMRT, Singapore's public transport company, declined to comment when asked by Reuters to provide further details.
