The Ukrainian journalist of the BBC lived through moments of agony, Olga Malchevska, who at 3 a.m. was informed that the apartment building where she had lived for years with her family had been bombed by Russian troops.
The journalist was trying to get in touch with her mother but was relieved when he finally texted her and confirmed that everything was fine.
"Thank God my family is fine. I just can not believe what I see. I used to live there "said Malcevka, who was relieved when her mother texted her.
"My mother had gone to a shelter and fortunately was not inside the building when she was bombed," he added.
The Ukrainian journalist reported that the mother she was glad that nothing happened, because she was in the basement of a relative's house with her sister and her small child. However, she expressed her concern for her uncle, with whom she has not been in contact.
According to official announcements, there were no casualties from the bombing of the building, while 150 people were evacuated and some had to be treated.
"Even yesterday, my mother, despite the sounds of explosions and bombings, was still going to work. "I told her to find shelter somewhere and she said, 'Come on, don't panic, it's Kiev, no one is going to bomb Kiev,'" she said in shock.
