Brazilian international footballer Dani Alves, who is accused by a young woman of rape, will stand trial for sexual assault, following a decision by the judge who brought criminal charges.
Already, as reported by the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the investigative testimony of the 3-year-old footballer has been set for this Thursday, August 40, while the date of the trial has not yet been set.
The Barcelona Court closed the investigation against Alves, concluding that there were indications that he had sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman.
Dani Alves has been in jail since January 20 when he was accused of a sexual assault in Barcelona's Sutton nightclub at the end of the year and is not expected to be released before his trial after a Barcelona court rejected his request on two occasions to released on bail.
