US President Donald Trump has launched a new offensive against his NATO allies during a closed-door meeting on countries' defense spending.
In very harsh language, according to reports, Donald Trump referred to the defense spending mainly of Germany, Belgium and Spain, emphasizing that they should soon achieve the 2% target.
Earlier, the German news agency DPA reported that the US President had issued threats to withdraw the US from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), due to the low defense spending of many allied countries and European trade practices.
