Siamese Carmen and Lupita talked about life, but also the relationship of one of the two, in a YouTube Q&A.
Carmen and Lupita Andrade are joined at the chest. They have two arms each, two hearts, two stomachs, but share two legs together, with Carmen controlling the right leg and Lupita the left leg, a digestive and a reproductive system.
Anatomy, however, did not stand in the way of Carmen looking for a relationship. In an interview, she revealed that she is dating a young man, Dan, whom she met on the online dating app Hinge - and with whom they are still together, based on her Instagram posts.
At first, Carmen admits, "she was pretty embarrassed," given that Lupita had declared herself "asexual and aromantic."
"Obviously I would be transparent about everything. It was a process where we were all learning. We had a discussion about boundaries, what would be okay and what wouldn't," explains Carmen.
Carmen jokes that Lupita isn't a good "girlfriend", but Lupita counters that she's "teasing" Carmen and Dan.
In the interview, Carmen admits that she has no sexual relations with Dan and their relationship is more like a close friendship. And he adds that, as he is only 21 years old, he is not thinking about marriage for now. "I would be more interested in a life partner than a marriage," she says.
Born in Mexico and raised in Connecticut, the conjoined sisters have appeared on numerous television shows.
As they have mentioned in interviews, they have been "fetishized" since the age of nine, with people ignoring a lot and imagining more about their lives.

Carmen is studying, Lupita just dropped out. As they say, it took them a long time, "17 years to be exact" to learn to coordinate their joint legs and find a stride. Both are very active on social media.
