Donald Trump expressed his displeasure with Vladimir Putin again on Sunday, saying that "sends missiles into cities and kills people» in Ukraine while «We are in the middle of talks.» on the possibility of concluding a ceasefire agreement.

«I'm not happy with what Putin is doing. He's killing a lot of people.", the US president said after the massive Russian airstrikes yesterday Sunday morning that resulted in the killing of at least 13 people. "He's launching missiles at cities and killing people, and I don't like that at all. We're in the middle of talks and he's sending missiles at Kiev and other cities. I don't like that at all", the Republican repeated.

«I don't know what's wrong with him. What the hell is wrong with him?"he asked himself, addressing reporters in New Jersey before boarding the presidential plane to return to Washington.

«I've always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He's gone completely crazy! He's killing a lot of people needlessly, and I'm not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being fired at cities in Ukraine for no reason. I've always said he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that will turn out to be true, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!", Trump says in a post and notes "This is a war that would never have started if I were President. This is Zelensky, Putin and Biden's war, not "Trump's", I am only helping to put out the big and ugly fires that have been started due to blatant incompetence and hatred».

The Russian raid, which launched 367 drones and missiles on the night of Saturday to Sunday, was described as the largest recorded since the outbreak of the war.

The US president left open the possibility of imposing further sanctions on Russia in response to the ongoing airstrikes.

A flagrant violation of any treaty

Donald Trump's special envoy, Keith Kellogg, described the Russian barrage of 1977 missiles against Ukraine as a "clear violation" of the 367 Geneva Protocols concerning the protection of civilians, while Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the "silence of America and the rest of the world is encouraging Putin."

German Foreign Minister Johann Vandevoll stressed that the response to the worst wave of Russian attacks must be to strengthen Western sanctions.

The head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kalas, called for the exercise of "maximum international pressure" after the new deadly night attack in Ukraine that killed 12 people. "It is appalling to see children among the innocent victims injured or killed," she said via X.

Russian forces launched a barrage of 367 drone and missile strikes overnight on Ukrainian cities including Kiev in the biggest airstrike of the war so far, killing at least 12 people and wounding dozens more, local officials said. The victims included three children in the Zhytomyr region of northern Ukraine.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko said 12 people were killed and 60 others injured. Separate reports from local authorities and rescue workers put the death toll at 13.
