The Libyan Coast Guard and an international charity ship have gathered several hundred illegal immigrants today as traffickers try to exploit the calm sea by sending a number of boats bound for Italy.
Coast Guard ships from Libya stopped two boats. The first was an inflatable boat with 125 migrants, while it was located off Zaouia, located west of the capital, Tripoli.
The second boat returned to the outskirts of the city of Garabouli, located east of Tripoli, carrying 112 migrants.
