Budapest Airport has been temporarily closed due to frost and excessive ice, the airport said on its Facebook page today.
Airports in Prague, Vienna and Bratislava were also affected by the weather conditions.
Vienna Airport announced that it was to resume operations from 11:00 local time (12:00 Greek time).
Flight departures will resume from 11:00 local time, with arrivals resuming from noon local time, a company spokesman told Reuters.
Earlier today, a thick layer of ice had formed on the runways in Vienna and continued to form after efforts to clear it, forcing the airport to divert flights to other airports.
