Clever detect and steal cars with iPhone

A different way to take advantage of the capabilities offered by modern smartphones and especially iPhones have been cleverly discovered in Canada, with the aim of stealing luxury cars.

Most of the time technology is what makes our lives easier, taking care to solve problems that in the past would take a lot of time and a lot of effort to solve.

Of course in the wrong hands, technology turns into a powerful weapon, which turns against us, threatening our prosperity.

A typical example is the iphone and AirTags, which were cleverly turned into powerful tracking devices. AirTags were created to easily locate items that we often miss, such as our keys.

AirTags

In this case, however, the AirTags were placed on the body of a car - to a point where they could not be perceived - so that the vehicle could then be located and stolen when conditions allowed.

There have been five recent incidents in Canada police with would-be robbers fitting tracking devices into luxury vehicles, forcing them to issue a press release.

It is worth noting that it is not only Apple AirTags that are used as tracking devices but also corresponding Samsung accessories, which can be placed in our car and betray its exact location.

One solution to the problem could be to park the car in a protected area, such as e.g. a closed parking lot, or the use of anti-theft devices which will make the work of would-be robbers more difficult.
