Erdogan: Seeks understanding of NATO in its "sensitivities"
Expects Turkey's NATO allies to understand and support its security sensitivities
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has said he expects Turkey's NATO allies to understand its security sensitivities and support it.
Speaking to lawmakers from the Justice and Development Party, he reiterated that the Swedish and Finnish delegations should not bother to go to Turkey, adding that Sweden should not wait for Turkey to approve its application for NATO membership without returning the "terrorists".
"We can not say yes," he repeated. "Supporting terrorism and asking for our support is incompatible," he said.
