A record number of 26.458 confirmed new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the last 24 hours in the Philippines, the country's Ministry of Health announced today.
The ministry added in a statement that the confirmed cases of the new coronavirus had exceeded 2,93 million in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic, while the death toll rose to more than 52.000, after adding the 265 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours. .
The previous highest number of cases in one day was announced on September 11, 2021, when 26.303 new cases were recorded.
