The worst has been averted after the 7,6 magnitude earthquake that struck the Philippines. The threat of a tsunami in coastal areas has passed.
A strong earthquake measuring 7,6 on the Richter scale struck the Philippines on Friday morning (10/10). Phivolcs warned of the risk of aftershocks after the main tremor, about 20 kilometers off the coast of Manay city, in Davao Oriental province, on the main island of Mindanao.
The size of the earthquake may be frightening, however, the difficult times are over, and the risk of a tsunami no longer exists, with the Philippines trying to slowly return to normality after the new impact of Enceladus.

The Southeast Asian country is accustomed to such magnitudes of earthquakes, as they are located on the Pacific "ring of fire", an arc of intense seismic activity that extends from Japan to Southeast Asia and across the Pacific basin.
At present, there have been no reports of casualties, despite the terrifying magnitude of the earthquake, while two weeks earlier, specifically on September 30, the 6,9-magnitude earthquake left more than 70 dead.
As is easily understood, schools in Davao City on the island of Mindanao were suspended after the earthquake. Local media report that the local government has ordered teams and competent agencies to rush to thoroughly examine structures and buildings in the wider area.
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered agencies to assist in evacuations and provide assistance to “all those in need.” He said in a statement: “We are currently assessing the situation on the ground and ensuring that everyone is safe. Search and rescue operations are already being prepared and will be deployed as soon as it is safe to do so.”
The quake struck about 62 kilometers from Manay city in Mindanao, at a shallow depth. Several aftershocks – so far a magnitude 5,9 and a magnitude 5,6 – have hit the same area in the past hour.
