The Chinese government announced today the upcoming imposition of additional customs duties of 15% on imported coal and imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States, measures in retaliation for Washington's implementation of additional 10% tariffs on all Chinese products imported into the American market, without any exceptions.
The additional tariffs announced by Beijing will take effect on Monday, February 10.
10% tariffs will be imposed on imported US oil, as well as on various other categories of products, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce clarified.
