The tragedy with the infant victim began when the father, 33-year-old Yaakov Maiboroda, tried to kick his 23-year-old wife, Anastasia, during a fight.
The kick, however, hit the small child who was killed on the spot.
The two monster parents, however, instead of reporting the incident to the authorities, decided to cover their tracks in the most macabre way as they dismembered the corpse with knives and a meat grinder, placing the pieces in 13 plastic bags.
Showing unfathomable courage, the two parents called the police and claimed that their 8-month-old daughter had been kidnapped.
But when police arrived at the apartment in the Russian-Ukrainian border town of Rostov-on-Don they discovered the horrific crime, blood-stained knives and 13 bags of the infant's dismembered body.
Neighbors, according to the Daily Mail, claim they heard "constant screams" from the flat the couple had moved into six months ago. According to the same testimonies, the two parents had also been visited by the social services.
"On the day of the killer, the 33-year-old was more violent than usual. Then suddenly the noise and the child's cries stopped abruptly," Russian media reported.
The couple have already been arraigned and are expected to appear in court on June 28.
