A major problem in Germany is attacks on refugee homes, according to a report in the Frankfurter Rundschau. However, the number of such crimes has dropped significantly compared to the previous two years, the newspaper reported, citing the Federal Criminal Police (BKA).
As a result, BKA counted 264 such attacks as of mid-December this year. In 251 of these cases, the BKA accuses the right-wing extremists, while in 13 cases the political motive cannot be ruled out.
According to the report, the cases covered are mainly propaganda crimes (84), property damage (65) and violent crimes (39), including 16 arsons and two bombings.
According to the newspaper, although the attacks have decreased compared to the previous two years, they remain well above the level of 2013.
