The local community of Heraklion is shocked as a woman around 35 gave birth to a baby in her home and then placed the newborn in a garbage bag and threw it in the trash can.
The woman was found inside the house by her partner, covered in blood, who called the emergency services.
According to information from ERT, the rescuers found themselves in front of a woman with bleeding that indicated a case of childbirth and who, according to the same information, did not want to inform the EKAB crew about her condition, and did not wish to be transferred to the hospital, despite the efforts of her partner.
The woman's strange behavior troubled the EKAB rescuers, with testimonies from neighbors stating that one of the two rescuers began searching around the house and went to the trash cans located 250 meters away, locating the child inside a nylon bag.
The baby was taken to PAGNI, he is in good health, while the police authorities were informed about the incident.
