Police notes and manhunt
Bangladeshi authorities have been confronted with the case of a serial killer who has targeted rape suspects, according to local media.
On February 1, the country's police found a body in a yard in Rajapur province. The body belonged to a suspect for rape. Next to him was a note that read: "My name is Rakib. I am the rapist of a schoolgirl from Bhandaria. These are the consequences of a rapist. Beware, Hercules rapists. "
The 20-year-old was found dead with several bullets in the head. On January 14, the student was going to her grandparents' house when she was raped by two men on the street. Three days later, a rape complaint was filed by her father, who accused Rakib and another young man named Sajal.

On January 24, police found Sajal dead, who also received multiple bullets in his body. A similar note was found next to his body, with Hercules again committing the act of murder. "I am Sajal. I'm a rapist. This is the punishment for my crime. Watch out, rapists, watch out… Hercules ».
Sajal's father sued the student's father, accusing him of killing his son. His son was abducted on January 22 and was later shot or beaten to death. However, according to local police, the two young men were not the only victims of Hercules.

On January 7, an 18-year-old was found dead in her home, just hours after she was reported raped. According to police records, the perpetrator was a man named Ripon. On January 17, Ripon was found dead. Another note was found next to him. "I am a rapist. This is the punishment for my crime. Be careful. Be careful. Hercules ».
Police link Hercules to two more murder rape suspects. He has now launched a manhunt to locate him, although so far there is insufficient evidence. People consider him a self-appointed punisher, with many supporting him, believing that he delivers justice and even immediate, in cases that can take years to be resolved. However, the serial killer has gone beyond the law, with human rights organizations condemning his actions, fearing that some will imitate them, causing social chaos.
The search for the serial killer who targets rapists continues and as long as he remains free, the list of his victims may increase.
