Grandmother and grandfather suffered from loneliness
Two elderly people in Italy, suffering from loneliness, smiled again when the police visited them! 84-year-old Jole and 94-year-old Michele saw two police officers at the door of their house, telling them that no one had visited them for months.
Police were alerted after a phone call, where a neighbor of the elderly couple called the authorities because he heard them crying.
That day, the uniformed men accompanied their grandparents by cooking them spaghetti with parmesan.
The team of four uniformed people even uploaded photos with the couple on Facebook!
"Life is not always easy. Especially when the city is empty and the neighbors are away on vacation. Sometimes loneliness is like a storm and sometimes it comes suddenly and overwhelms you. Jole and Michele are very much in love, but when loneliness becomes a burden on the heart, it happens because all hope is lost… The police asked permission to enter the kitchen. They prepared a small dinner with spaghetti, butter and cheese. "Nothing special, but with valuable ingredients: humanity", they wrote.
