The University of London Imperial has published a study that highlights an issue we knew but did not know about the huge gap between the rich and the poor.
The research team announced that the poor die earlier than the rich, almost ten years ahead. In 2001 the difference was 6 years, with the number increasing dramatically in the last four years.
The child mortality rate is also frightening, as children from poor families are 2,5 times more likely to die than children from rich families.
Diseases that strike the poor are dementia, respiratory and heart problems, and infectious diseases.
