China on Friday announced additional 34% tariffs on US goods, in the most serious escalation of the trade war with President Donald Trump that has sparked recession fears and caused a global stock market crash.
Beijing also announced that it was adding several US entities to an export control list and designating others as "unreliable" entities.
Countries from Canada to China have prepared retaliation in an escalating trade war after Trump's decision this week to raise US tariffs to the highest level in more than a century, sending global financial markets plunging.
