The bodyguard - 35-year-old Abdul Rossid, was patrolling the warehouse with a radio and an umbrella when lightning struck the open courtyard. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and miraculously survived. The 35-year-old suffered only burns on his hands and was released from the hospital after 4 days of medical care.
Iptun police spokesman Alex Chandra confirmed the incident and said the guard was being treated at Port Medical Center and that the man was holding a radio when lightning struck.
