USA: Trump Speech on School Massacre

Donald Trump announced today that he will visit Parkland, Florida, to meet with survivors and local officials, a day after a 19-year-old man opened fire and killed 17 people at a high school in the area.

"I plan to visit Parkland to meet with families and local law enforcement to continue coordinating federal aid," he said.

The tycoon, who explained that he was addressing a "suffering nation", did not once utter the phrase "firearm" during his short sermon, but vowed to face the "difficult problem of mental illness" with determination. faithful to the spirit of what he wrote earlier in the morning, when in a tweet he described the perpetrator of the massacre as a "mentally disturbed" person.

In addition, the Republican called for reconciliation and peace in the country. "If you need help, turn to a teacher, a member of your family, a local police officer or a leading member of the religious community. Respond to hatred with love, respond to cruelty with kindness "he pointed out.

"We also need to work to create a culture in our country that embraces the dignity of life, which in turn builds deep and meaningful human relationships," said Trump from the White House.

"It is not enough to act to have the impression that we are changing things, we really need to change them," he said. No child or teacher should be in danger in American schools, the president said, calling the massacre "a scene of horrific violence, hatred and malice."

During his televised sermon, the head of state stressed that he wanted to address the children of America by sending the message that "they are never alone and will never be alone."
"You have people who care about you, who love you and who will do anything to protect you," he said.
