New video with an incident of police violence in the USA, and even against a five-year-old child. Camera footage shows two Maryland police officers handcuffing and threatening a 5-year-old boy who allegedly left school without a permit (!)
The incident occurred on January 14, 2020 and the video was released on Friday by Montgomery County police.
"Listen to me. How old are you;" asks the boy one of the two policemen. "Five," the child replies. "Five; Do you feel that you can make decisions on your own? ” the policeman asks. "Do you feel you can do what you want?" The child is upset, and after a while he starts crying and shouting. Police lead the boy to the back of the patrol car and the voices continue. "You better stop," police say to the boy. Police repeatedly tell the child that he is "bad" and should be beaten. "Is your mom hitting you?" Is your mom hitting you? He will hit you today ", one of the policemen can be heard saying.
When the boy does not stop crying, a policeman shouts just a few inches from his face. Later, after the child meets the mother, a police officer removes a pair of handcuffs and places them on the little boy's wrists. “Do you know what they are used for? "These are for people who do not want to listen and do not know how to behave," a police officer told the boy.
The boy's mother has filed a lawsuit against Montgomery County, Montgomery Public Schools, and county police, seeking compensation for psychological trauma inflicted on the child. The two police officers are currently in action.
