An unthinkable incident occurred at a hair salon in Maryland, USA. A hairdresser attacked an underage client because... she thought she wouldn't pay her the $150 for her services.
Security camera footage from the business shows 18-year-old Jayla Cunningham pulling the 15-year-old by the hood. She drags her for several yards before dropping her to the ground. "Sit here until someone sends the money. I'm not playing here. You tried to leave. You're lucky I didn't beat you to death," she can be heard saying.
The perpetrator is charged with second-degree assault. She says that when she was done with the underage customer and it was time to pay, the 15-year-old claimed she sent the money through the Cash App, but the money never showed up in the business's account.
Then the minor made a move to leave, the 18-year-old grabbed her and dragged her to the back of the salon. "I dragged her into the room until I got paid or until the police came or until I finished my job, because she tried to leave," the hairdresser insists.
USA: What the mother of the 15-year-old claims
For her part, the mother of the underage customer claims that her daughter made the transaction but sent the money to the wrong person, resulting in this misunderstanding.
She described what happened after the video was made public as "absurd" and accused the 18-year-old of injuring her daughter when she pulled her hair.
Despite the claims of the 15-year-old's mother, the 18-year-old insists she did the right thing, saying that "if I hadn't pulled her over, she would have left and I would never have gotten paid."
The local prosecutor's office, however, filed criminal charges against the 18-year-old, who will appear in court on April 18.
