A 8-year-old nanny in California, USA, is facing charges of abusing an 28-month-old baby who allegedly sent photos of the abused girl to a man through social media.
Michelle Hidalgo was initially indicted on September 26 with seven charges including the production and distribution of child pornography.
Further investigation led to a further three charges of child abuse against a minor child as the man to whom he allegedly sent the photos requested "increasingly worse" acts against the child.
She reportedly admitted to her sick acts, telling the inquest that it was a "stupid mistake" she only made once.
In the case file, however, it is stated that the 28-year-old in the online dialogues she had with the unknown man told him that she would sexually abuse the 8-month-old infant with oral sex.
According to local media, the findings in her iCloud account were also aggravating for the 28-year-old.
The 28-year-old was revealed by a social media platform complaint on September 21 for trafficking pornographic material with a minor child.
The infant's parents, for their part, said they hired the 28-year-old through Care.com and did not know her beforehand.
Under California law, the 28-year-old nanny faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted and bail was set at $2,7 million.
