The Grammy Awards ceremony has been rescheduled for April 3 in Las Vegas, the American Academy of Recording Arts and the CBS television network announced today, Tuesday.
The ceremony was originally scheduled for Jan. 31 in Los Angeles, but organizers postponed it because the Omicron variant of the coronavirus had triggered a new outbreak.
Comedian Trevor Noah will host the event, which will be televised and televised from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The Grammy Awards were also postponed to 2021 and instead of January were awarded in March, with a combination of videotaped and live appearances in front of select guests keeping a safe distance.
The organizers did not reveal details about this year's awards ceremony and only announced the date and location.
Due to the Grammy shift, the CMT awards for country music, which were originally scheduled for April 3, were also postponed. The award ceremony will take place later this month, CBS reports.
