Dozens of rockets were fired shortly after 13:00 PM by Hezbollah from South Lebanon targeting central Israel and specifically Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport.
Because of the Hezbollah rockets, all departures from the airport between them and the US Secretary of State, who, having completed yet another round of contacts to find the "golden" intersection for a cease-fire in Gaza, were stopped for security reasons, were preparing to depart bound for Saudi Arabia.
Anthony Blinken, at the moment the alarm sirens sounded, was taken to a special armored building at the airport and together with his team waited for the end of the barrage and interceptions in order to board the US government aircraft and depart.
Anthony Blinken's flight has left Israel without any problem, while it is noted that this is not the first time in the last year that the head of American diplomacy has experienced a similar situation. On his second and fourth visit to Israel 9 months ago – this was his ninth visit to Israel in the last year – the same had happened with rockets in that Hamas period.
