Israel's Transport Minister Miri Regev announced: "If we are attacked, we may request assistance from the Israeli Air Force and ships from Athens in Greece and Larnaca in Cyprus."
Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah had warned Cyprus in a previous speech against any supporting role for Israel in any attack against Lebanon.
This comes in light of the expectation of a massive attack by Hezbollah and Iran on Israel after the killing of Hamas leader in Tehran and Hezbollah military leader Fouad Shukr during the Israeli offensive in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
