Wounds at some of their air bases, during last night's Iranian missile attack against Israel, the IDF has acknowledged. According to Israeli forces, the Iranian strikes damaged office buildings and other maintenance areas at the bases that do not affect the operation of the Air Force (IAF).
As they reported, no Israeli air force aircraft were damaged during the attack (unconfirmed information was released yesterday in Arab media about the destruction of 20 F-35 fighters) and all missile strikes on Israeli air bases are judged by the IDF as "ineffective", meaning no damage was done to the ongoing operations of the IAF.
Apart from the fighters, unmanned aerial vehicles, other types of aircraft, munitions and critical infrastructure were not damaged.
Highlighting the ineffectiveness of the Iranian attack, the military notes that the IAF continued its operations in the following hours, including major strikes against Hezbollah in Beirut, supporting ground forces in southern Lebanon and strikes in Gaza
The Iranian attack caused no serious injuries, while only two civilians were slightly injured by shrapnel in Tel Aviv.
The IDF also emphasizes that it measures the effectiveness of an attack based on how much damage is done to critical infrastructure and assets and how many casualties are caused, not how many rockets are ultimately fired at the country. The air defense has successfully prevented such damage and heavy casualties, they add, noting that they are preparing for "a response against Iran" as directed by the political echelon.
