The highest temperature in the country's history was recorded today in Japan, specifically in the eastern city of Isesaki, where the thermometer rose to 41,6 degrees Celsius, the Japan Meteorological Agency announced.

The previous record was 41,2 degrees Celsius and was recorded last week in the city of Tampa, Hyogo Prefecture.
