The Somali Islamist militant group al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility
At least one person has been killed and four others injured in an attack on a hotel and office complex in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, a hospital official told Reuters.
The five injured were taken to MP Shah Hospital and one of them died, said Tosif Dean, the band's general manager. The Red Cross said four hospitals were injured, according to Reuters and the Athenian News Agency.

Meanwhile, Kenyan police chief Joseph Bouane said the attack in Nairobi could be a terrorist act.
"A group of unknown gunmen attacked the Dusit Complex in what we suspect is a terrorist attack," he said.
In a briefing to reporters he said that armed perpetrators may still be in the building and that the police operation is ongoing.
The Somali militant group al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the US-based jihadist website Surveillance Center, citing a post in its propaganda agency, and a spokesman for the group told Reuters.
