Panic broke out at a private nursing home in Croatia on Monday morning as a gunman opened fire, killing five people, Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) reported.
"According to information that has not yet been officially confirmed, a man entered a nursing home and started shooting. "Five people were killed on the spot, some others are receiving medical help," the country's national television channel said of the incident in the town of Daruvar, about 130 kilometers east of Zagreb, while the number of injured was not yet known.
Local media reports that the attacker, after his act, headed to a nearby restaurant, where he was arrested, with Croatia's interior ministry yet to issue an official statement.
