81.4% of the adult population in Cyprus received at least the first dose of coronavirus vaccine, while fully vaccinated adults (1 years and older) reached 18%.
According to the Ministry of Health of Cyprus, which released the relevant data, until October 9, 41.6% of people aged 16 and 17 received at least the first dose and 1% completed their vaccination. In the age group of 38.6-12 years 15% were vaccinated with at least the first dose and 1% of this age group completed their vaccination regimen.
In the walk-in that operated today at the Laniteio Sports Center in Limassol, a total of 949 vaccinations were performed. 205 were vaccinated with 1st dose, 22 were vaccinated with 2nd dose and 722 were vaccinated with 3rd dose.
Paphos is the first in vaccinations
In relation to the vaccination coverage per Province, Paphos is at 92.4% of the adult population that received at least the first dose. It is followed by the Provinces of Famagusta and Nicosia with 1% and 91.3% respectively and the Province of Limassol with 80.5%. In the Province of Larnaca, the vaccination coverage with at least the 79.9st dose is at 1%.
Regarding the 3rd installment, together with the current data from Lanitio, the supportive dose was received by a total of 20.892 people. Yesterday, in the context of serving the citizens who live in remote areas and have difficulty in accessing a Vaccination Center, a mobile vaccination unit visited, after consultation with the local authorities, the Municipality of Athienou, where 3 people were vaccinated with the 240rd dose (included in total) , who showed interest.
The Vaccination Portal is open these days for appointments for the 3rd dose for people 70 years and older. Vaccinations with 3rd dose, without prior appointment, are also done in the free vaccination centers (walk-in) every Monday to Thursday from 8 in the morning until 1 at noon.
