Liam Payne, former member of the boy band One Direction, has been found dead after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires at the age of 31. The artist's death took place at a hotel on Costa Rica Street, according to a police statement.
Liam Payne has struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues. The musician had spoken openly about the above, while he had also tried addiction.
In fact, as he made known, in 2023 he went to a detox clinic and was "clean" for 100 days. "The party's over for me," declared Liam Payne, about his detox last summer.
But apparently the party wasn't over yet. Citing officials, leading local newspapers said police were called to the hotel in the capital's leafy Palermo district in response to an emergency call about "an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs and alcohol," according to the Reuters.
The findings in Liam Payne's hotel room
However, the mystery of the fall continues to be unraveled, and so photos of the room in which Liam Payne stayed in the hotel in question came to light. They show a broken TV screen and various items scattered around the suite, including a soap container, matches, candle residue, tin foil and a substance believed to be cocaine. A burnt soda can lid and a lighter were also found in the room, and candle residue was also found in the bathtub.
