The Israeli military today told residents of more than 20 more southern Lebanese cities to leave them immediately, Israeli military spokesman Avihai Andrai said in a post on X social media.
A Lebanese security source also told Reuters today that three people were wounded in an Israeli strike on rescuers linked to Lebanon's Shiite movement, Hezbollah.
A little earlier, the Lebanese authorities had announced that a strike by the Israeli army in the eastern part of the country, on the border between Lebanon and Syria, blocked the road used by hundreds of thousands of people who are trying to escape the Israeli bombardment.
A spokesman for the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) had yesterday, Thursday, accused Hezbollah of using the crossing to transport military equipment from Syria to Lebanon.
