The Moroccan government announced yesterday, Saturday, an increase in the minimum wage for workers in both the public and private sectors.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, the minimum wage in the public sector will increase by 16% and in the private sector by 10% over the next two years.
The agreement was sealed after consultations between the government, the unions and the employers' federation.
The agreement also provides for an increase in family benefits and pension benefits.
