The European Union has filed a lawsuit against AstraZeneca for delays in the delivery of vaccines, which are defined by contract.
The Commission informed today, Monday, that it initiated the legal proceedings against the company as it did not deliver the agreed installments nor did it have a substantial alternative plan to ensure that all the installments will be delivered.
"The Commission initiated legal proceedings against AstraZeneca last Friday," a commission spokesman told a news conference.
The same representative pointed out that all 27 Member States of the European Union supported this solution.
