Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a new threat against the United States on Thursday, following the sinking of an Iranian frigate by an American submarine off the coast of Sri Lanka.
"The US committed an atrocity at sea, 2.000 miles off the coast of Iran. The Dena frigate, a guest of the Indian Navy carrying nearly 130 sailors, was hit in international waters without warning," Araghchi said.
"Mark my words: The US will bitterly regret the precedent it has set," the Iranian Foreign Minister threatened.
