She is a New Zealander, born in South Korea, who has been in the country since 2018 and has not traveled abroad since then, a Korean police official told Reuters.
No information has been released about her exact whereabouts or whether she arrived in South Korea with other relatives.
«The New Zealand Police had asked for confirmation if the person who could be related to a crime case was in South Korea," the officer said, adding that due to her previous address and age, she may be the children's mother.
