US President Donald Trump tweeted that Kim Jong Un had insulted him by calling him an "old man", noting that he would never call the North Korean leader "short and fat".
"Why should Kim Jong Un insult me by calling me 'old man', when I would NEVER describe him as 'short and fat'? "Be that as it may, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe one day that will happen!" Trump tweeted.
In a series of posts, the US president also stressed that Xi Jinping's Chinese counterpart agreed to impose tougher sanctions on North Korea in response to its nuclear program, stressing that Xi wanted Pyongyang to be "denuclearized".
