In a post on Twitter, the billionaire founder of Microsoft underlines "after much thought and work on our relationship, we decided together to end our marriage. In these 27 years we have raised three wonderful children and built an Institution with activities around the globe so that all people can live healthy and productive lives. We continue to believe in this mission and we will continue to work together at the foundation, however we no longer believe that we can develop further as a couple. We ask to be given space and to protect the private life of our family as we begin the new phase of our life ".
