The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated today that he does not intend to resign on the occasion of a series of rallies in violation of lockdown rules in Downing Street, pledging to continue his work.
Answering questions in Parliament, Johnson was accused by opposition Labor leader Kir Starmer of changing what he said about the rallies and misleading Parliament.
Asked if he would resign, Johnson replied: "No."
"I do not deny it, and for various reasons, many want me to leave, but the reason why (Starmer) wants to leave is because he knows that one can trust this government to succeed." , Johnson said, causing applause among Conservative MPs.
"We made the tough decisions, we made the right decisions on important issues and in particular I continue this work."
