The billionaire CEO of Twitter gives 28% of his fortune to the coronavirus

Much has been said and written over the years about Jack Dorsey, the 43-year-old CEO of Twitter and Square, with the tabloids highlighting his "weird" habits several times, but this time he manages to focus on a very good reason.

Jack Dorsey announces $ 1 billion of his Square equity in the fight against coronavirus and disease COVID-19 in global level. Unlike other billionaires, Mr. Dorsey is quite low on the list with "just" $ 3.6 billion, so the decision to dispose of about 1/4 of his fortune is not something insignificant.

This $ 1 billion will be distributed in complete transparency through the Start Small Foundation, which anyone can watch, and he even posted on Twitter the list from Google Sheets that shows the moves immediately (the $ 100.000 donation to America's has already been included Food Fund).

Once the disease is fought COVID-19, the Start Small Foundation will then focus on women's education and health, but also on global basic income, issues it considers one of the most important in the modern world.

In his latest tweet, Dorsey expressed the hope that others will follow his example, because life is too short and we must now do what we can to help.
